About Us: History of Environmental Capital
Environmental Capital was founded in 1990 to assist communities in obtaining financing for environmentally oriented projects. Since that time, the firm has expanded to provide financial advice to a wide variety of municipal and private entities for many different financing purposes. Our initial focus and experience in the environmental area, has expanded to include the structuring and placement of all types of environmental assets. Environmental Capital advises clients on developing environmental attributes from a variety of activities pertaining to green house gas emission reduction, carbon sequestration and renewable energy projects.
We assist clients selling and trading “carbon credits” and “emissions offsets” and can provide advice to clients interested in developing their own environmental attribute portfolio.
